The Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh visited Kashmir Valley today to review the prevailing security situation in the region. Accompanied by the Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen KJS Dhillon, the Army Commander visited the formations and units along the Line of Control and the hinterland formations in North Kashmir. He was briefed by the commanders on ground about the current situation. 
The Army Commander conveyed his appreciation to all the soldiers for their steadfastness and successful conduct of operations, which were reflective of their commitment and selfless dedication. He also urged them to continue with the vigil and give a befitting response to any misadventure from across. Lauding the excellent synergy amongst all the security forces, he exhorted all ranks to continue carrying out their task in a professional manner for creating a secure and peaceful environment for the Awaam of Kashmir. 
Later in the afternoon, The Army Commander met the Director General of Police Dilbag Singh and heads of other security agencies. He appreciated the joint efforts of all the agencies which were critical to successful Counter Terrorist operations. He exhorted all to safeguard and keep the security and interests of the common people in mind while working in close coordination with all security agencies and civil administration.
